Rebellious Biddies

I’m not the only one . . .

Anyone coaxing orchids to bloom in a sunless corner is my hero . . . my photo of my neighbor’s plants.

When the property manager, Diana, gave residents notice we can no longer give stuff away by the elevator, a practice I engage in wholeheartedly every week, my statement was to put out a cornucopia of Valentine treat bags and bananas all this week.

Hoping to incite a little rebellion among the biddies.

I never imagined the Avid Plant Ladies willingly removing their hundred-plus potted plants filling the Atrium of this building. Trying their best to brighten this dim dive with greenery and flowers.

I never expected anyone to keep ONLY TWO PLANTS . . . which is the limit the rules actually call out in our leases.

But still, I could’ve kissed The Orchid Señora when I noticed AFTER Diana’s hammering of rules about plant-keeping outside our apartments, she moved two more potted plants outside. Huge trees!

Check out the two plants in the purple pots (below).

These tall fat yukka trees are far and away the largest plants anyone has ever dared to clog the walkways with!

Laughing every time I wheel by.

Let’s see how Diana’s enforcement of the rules goes.

My neighbor’s little rebellion . . . there are more plants on the other side of the walkway!
