I am a prime demo for that old saying about doing the same dumb thing over and over but expecting different results.

Definition of stupidity and all that.

I have been clinging to the belief that if I’m nice to people they’ll be nice back.

Most of my life, this might apply to half the people I knew and interacted with. That was plenty to keep a relentless fool chumpin’.

These days, being nice isn’t a valued commodity.

As the media describes the chaos of Trump and his MAGA gang: being mean and disruptive is the point to everything they do.

In my last two articles, I referred to the Machiavellian way of using and abusing others in flippant terms. Now I shall try to explain how.

Especially for empaths and people pleasers, it’s hard to comprehend that there are others who do not give one freakin’ frig about other people’s welfare or feelings. Trying to get a callous beast to care is futile.
