I belong to an ancient clan called:

Women Who Run With the Wolves.

I’ve identified thusly since my discovery of a 1992 book of the same name by American psychoanalyst Clarissa Pinkola Estés. Her book tells various folktales from different eras and cultures, interpreting them and discussing well-known and relatable archetypes.

I’ve studied this book repeatedly over the last thirty years.

To my delight, I’ve bonded with other wild women at Medium these past three years. Lately, I’ve come to know and be wildly inspired by some female adventurers who share their wild essence here in words.

Rebecca Romanelli, a wise old crone, advised me to do a reading.

So much is up in the air for my life these days. My dogs died and so ended the crux of my self-identity these past thirty years. I live in a hellhole and I will likely be moving this year. I’m finally making serious progress toward walking again and eventually hiking.

Another iron in my fire too hot for words . . .
