from shale to ambivalence . . .

Shale rock formations dotted the mountains where I used to live in the wilderness.

I am from perpetual not knowing
from a crave to feel my way along
that brain tickle of ambiguity
seeking electrified synapses
sinking all twenty digits into mulch
furrows blazing, all summer long.
