My name is Margaret Lee Willis.
Same as on my birth certificate since I never married.
Named for mom’s middle, Marguerite . . . my dollop of French heritage manifested. Always wished I’d been blessed with the French version.
I never had kids and never lived with anyone in a romantic relationship. I’ve hardly lived with anyone at all, ever. A ton of solitude, since I lived two solo decades in rustic wilderness cabins.
Being alone is easy for me. Definitely preferred.
Ventana Wilderness . . . Big Sur country . . . I’ve inhabited several different enclaves along the central California coast over the years. I strongly identify with this geography like no other spot on earth.
Haven’t ever missed interacting with people. Until lately.
Probably since my lifelong pursuit and passion for the furries has come to an end with the demise of my last two dogs, May 2024.
Turned sixty-eight on July 4, 2024 . . . the midst of my most transformational summer.
